On May 28, at the Annual general meeting, the French petrol company
At the meeting, Patrique Pouyanné, the head of the company, whose term of office has been extended for three years, also presented TotalEnergies’ visual identity that has to illustrate the petrol giant’s transformation into a “multi-energy company”.
The new logo represents stylized initials of the company’s new name. The TE emblem is distinguished with colorful and quite a simple design which seems drawn just with one finger. It is accompanied by the wordmark “TotalEnergies” introduced in March as an interim logo. For the official release, it received a brighter shade of red. This logo replaced Total’s insignia featuring curving colored bands, symbolizing the earth, that was adopted in 2003, marking the acquisition of PetroFina and Elf Aquitaine.
TotalEnergies’ visual identity, rolled out on the company’s new website, also includes a series of icons representing sources of energy – from oil to solar. Designed in different colors corresponding with the color gamma of the logo, they are intended to reflect the directions of activity of the renovated company.
